Job Summary

1- Managing and directing all departments of the credit 
2- Directly Reports to Chief Executive Officer.
3- Evaluation of the performance of employees of the credit department.
4- Collecting reports about overall credit activities from related departments’ managers. 
5- Insuring lending policies are being followed as set out in the Credit Procedures and Policy of Bank.
6- Reviews all loan applications/Proposals for Funded and Non-funded facility prior to submitting to the Credit Committee/ Board of Supervisors and may serve as a voting member in the Credit Committee.
7- Any other identical task as assigned by the respective supervisor/s.

Duties and Responsibilities

1- Managing and directing all departments of the credit 
2- Directly Reports to Chief Executive Officer.
3- Evaluation of the performance of employees of the credit department.
4- Collecting reports about overall credit activities from related departments’ managers. 
5- Insuring lending policies are being followed as set out in the Credit Procedures and Policy of Bank.
6- Reviews all loan applications/Proposals for Funded and Non-funded facility prior to submitting to the Credit Committee/ Board of Supervisors and may serve as a voting member in the Credit Committee.
7- Any other identical task as assigned by the respective supervisor/s.

Skills

Knowledge of commercial lending; credit evaluation and underwriting;
Knowledge of Afghan banking law and regulations, especially regarding the lending funcation;
Working knowledge of Base 1 and !!
Ability to manage problem assets and dvelop workout strategies;
Ability to develop credit policies, processes and procedures, together with a creative approach to identifying new credit products and structures for clients.
Proficient in financial statement analysis, risk assessment; cash flow projections, valuation, stress testing and other financial models;
Familiarity with local market Corporate and Consumer businesses;
Basic knowledge of acconting concepts specific to banks and large financial institutions; on-balance sheet, off-balance sheet, trading account assests, loans, commitments, guarantees;
Working knowledge of risk management concepts;
Understanding of Extensive selling, negotiating and relationship management skills;
Have high ethical standards and integrity in both their personal and professional dealings;
Excellent Written and verbal communication skills;
leadership skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business , Economics and the related filed 
Professional training or certificates in credit and risk management preferred 
7-10 years lending experience with a recognized financial institution;
Experience should include credit originations, credit evaluation, portfolio management and risk management.
Experience in managing credit department, developing and implementing credit policies and procedures for commercial lending.
